Ryan is an Episcopal priest and is currently Rector of St. Anne’s Church in Warsaw, where he has served since March of 2019. A native of North Dakota, Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, a Master of Divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (now United Lutheran Seminary), and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Dakota. He has served both Lutheran and Episcopal congregations in North Dakota, along with service on the board of directors of a nursing home as well as the Policy and Advocacy Committee of the North Dakota Public Health Association. He arrived in Indiana with a passion for eliminating disparities in health outcomes and access to healthcare – a big part of his MPH work – and LiveWell Kosciusko is a perfect fit for his passion!
In addition to pastoral ministry, Ryan enjoys music, fine dining, and old cars, preferring to work on them himself (and can often be seen driving around in vehicles in varying states of repair). He has been a member of the Kosciusko Community YMCA since coming to town and continuously acknowledges his need to exercise there more regularly. His involvement in the music scene has included playing bass in a local band and collecting vinyl from the Sixties and Seventies and playing it loud in his office after hours. Living well means much to Ryan, and his service to this Board of Directors is a great honor for him.
