The Career Purpose Committee is one of five teams created as a part of The Well-being Initiative. Each committee is focusing on their own project to enhance well-being in their corresponding area.
The Goal: By the end of calendar year 2026, a majority of Kosciusko County adults surveyed, report that they are thriving when it comes to their life’s purpose. How did we help our citizens achieve greater career and purpose well-being?
The Career Purpose Committee has developed a county-wide mentoring program called Clock into Potential for individuals in the demographic groups that displayed the lowest survey results in the areas of career/purpose satisfaction and inspiration by a leader in their life.
This fall, community members will have the opportunity to attend a series of three workshops focused on personal and professional development. Participants will work one-on-one with a coach to set new goals and monitor program progress.
Clock into Potential is a personal growth and purpose-driven program designed to help people discover their strengths, define their goals, and step confidently into their future. Whether they are just starting out, navigating a transition, or looking to reignite their passion, this program will support you in uncovering what matters most and how to move forward with intention.

A second-chance workplace policy provides employees who test positive for drugs or alcohol an opportunity to seek treatment and return to work, rather than immediately facing termination. The policy includes education, supervisor training, testing, and a plan for employee assistance.
Implementing a second-chance policy helps retain valuable employees, reduce turnover costs, lower healthcare expenses, and support employee recovery—leading to a healthier, more productive workforce.
No. In fact, employers can reduce liability in civil cases alleging negligent hiring or retention by following program guidelines and ensuring proper implementation of second-chance policies.
Employees in recovery are proven to miss less work, perform more consistently, and contribute to a positive work culture. Supporting recovery can also improve loyalty and job satisfaction.
